### Task assigment

- Make acquainted with the experiment „Energy transfer in circuits“ (http:// remotelab3.truni.sk) and explore, using the theory of RLC series circuit, the transferred voltage and energy from the generator to the load. On which quantities it depends and under which conditions it is maximum?
- Test the transfer voltage (current) characteristics of the circuit in question using the control „ Scan“ What can you see and what does it mean?
- Measure the amplitude (see eq.(13)) and phase (see eq.(14)) characteristics of the circuit in question and determine resonant frequency of the voltage transfer characteristic.

Experimental notes:

a) Amplitude characteristic : The measurements is carried out by choosing frequency of the driving voltage and measuring the amplitude ( the maximum value ) of the current, then plotting the dependence I_{m} =I_{m} (*f*). What is the resonant frequency *f*_{res}?

b) Phase characteristic: For frequencies chosen in point a) determine the phase shift of two signals voltage ( blue curve ) and current( red curve). This requires a bit of thinking, about what does the phase shift between two harmonic signals of frequency *f *mean. In the schematical diagram of two signals taken from remote experiment we can see the procedure for phase shift determination.

- From the results of the previous activity determine the power transfer characteristic (using eq.(16) and choosing
*b*=1 s^{-1}.
